SECOND ROUND OF PHYSICAL COUNSELLING FOR UPGRADEMENT/ALLOTMENT OF SEATS IN B.E./B.TECH. ENGINEERING COURSES-2024

The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has announced the conduct of the second round of physical counselling for upgradation and allotment of seats in B.E./B.Tech. engineering courses-2024 in various government and private engineering colleges of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

According to Notification No. 047-BOPEE of 2024 dated July 11, 2024, the second round of counselling will be held on July 15, 16, and 18, 2024. The schedule is as follows:

The procedure for the second round of physical counselling is as follows:

  1. Eligible and willing candidates must report to the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar for registration/attendance and other formalities from 8:30 am to 10:00 am on the day/date of counselling.
  2. Candidates who have been allotted a seat/college of their choice and have joined the respective institution need not attend the second round of counselling.
  3. Candidates who have been allotted a seat during the first round of counselling and have joined the respective institution but are interested in upgrading their seat can participate in the second round of counselling provided they produce their fee deposition receipt from the concerned allotted college at the time of registration/attendance.
  4. Candidates who have opted for C.N.A./S.N.A. or could not attend counselling due to unavoidable circumstances are also eligible to attend the second round of physical counselling.
  5. Candidates who have been allotted a seat during the first round of counselling but failed to join against the said allotted seat/college are not eligible to participate in the upgradation/second physical round of counselling.
  6. Candidates participating in this physical round of counselling and getting allotted a seat should not leave the Board office as there is a possibility that a seat of their choice may become available during the process.
  7. The Board reserves the right to notify changes as may become necessary due to technical difficulties or reasons beyond its control.

The seat matrix will be uploaded separately before counselling, and all participating eligible candidates are advised to go through it before participating in the counselling process.

It is essential for candidates to note that if they leave the Board office and fail to stake a claim on a seat that becomes available, they will not be responsible for any losses or consequences arising out of it.
