The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) is conducting the first round of physical counseling for admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) courses for the year 2024. This process is crucial for candidates aspiring to secure a seat in these programs in various institutions across Jammu and Kashmir.
The counseling sessions will be held from August 12, 2024, to August 20, 2024. Candidates are required to report physically at the BOPEE offices located in Jammu and Srinagar. Attendance and registration will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on the designated days.
Documents Required for Counseling
Candidates must bring the following original documents for verification:
- Domicile Certificate
- 12th Marks Card
- Valid Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Date of Birth Certificate (Diploma/10th Class Marks Card)
Additionally, a counseling fee of Rs. 1000 must be paid through POS machines available at the BOPEE offices using Debit/Credit cards. Without this payment, candidates will not be allowed to participate in the counseling process.

Candidates who miss their designated day of counseling may participate on the next day. However, they cannot claim a seat that has already been allotted to another candidate of the next rank. In case a candidate cannot attend in person due to unavoidable circumstances, they can authorize a close family member to attend on their behalf. The authorized person must present an authorization letter along with their own Identity Card and Aadhar Card.
Terms and Conditions for Counseling
- The seat allotment will be based on S.O. 176 dated 15-03-2024 and S.O. 305 dated 31-05-2024 issued by the Social Welfare Department, UT of J&K.
- The seat matrix will be uploaded before the counseling begins, and candidates are advised to review it beforehand.
- The counseling process will stop once all seats are exhausted.
- All other terms and conditions remain as previously notified by the Board.
