The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the waiting list for the post of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, UT Cadre, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, under Item No. 106. The waiting list, which is the 2nd selection list, has been prepared as per the merit/eligibility of the candidates and as per the extant rules.
According to the notification, the waiting list has been prepared for the 972 posts of Accounts Assistant, which were advertised in December 2020. The requisite qualification for selection against these posts is a graduation in any stream from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit and 45% marks for Reserved Category.

The written examination for the post of Accounts Assistant was held on January 28th, 2024. The final selection list was notified by JKSSB on March 10th, 2024. However, following a government order dated September 26th, 2023, no waiting list was prepared initially. Later, the General Administration Department issued an order dated February 28th, 2024, reviving the waiting list.
The waiting list has been prepared as per the merit/eligibility of the candidates and as per the extant rules. It is subject to the outcome of any ongoing court cases or enquiries involving any candidate(s) figuring in this list.

The waiting list is available on the official website of JKSSB and can be downloaded in PDF format. Candidates whose recommendations are kept withheld are required to submit the requisite documents/certificates within a period of one month.
It is important to note that the selection of candidates has been made on the basis of self-declaration/certificates submitted by them. If at any stage, it comes to light that any candidate has submitted false information or has secured selection on the basis of fake documents/certificates, their selection shall be liable to cancellation at any stage.
