Jammu, July 8, 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a final opportunity for candidates who applied for the posts of Supervisor (Social Welfare Department) to claim additional marks on account of having Home Science, Child Development/Sociology as one of the subjects at graduation level.
As per the original advertisement notification, candidates were required to have a degree in any discipline with a preference given to those having Home Science, Child Development/Sociology as one of the subjects. The selection criteria mentioned that 05 marks would be awarded to candidates who had these subjects at graduation level.

However, some candidates had missed mentioning this detail while applying for the post and have now requested the JKSSB to consider their cases. After examination, it was found that the online application portal developed by NIC, J&K did not provide an option to indicate subjects carrying additional weightage. Hence, the JKSSB has decided to provide a final opportunity to these candidates to represent their case and claim the additional marks.
According to the latest notification, all such candidates who have applied for the post of Supervisor (Social Welfare Department) are required to submit their representations in offline mode (as Annexure “A” along with their mark sheet of graduation) to the JKSSB office at either CPO Chowk, Panjtirthi, Jammu or Zamzam Building, Rambagh, Srinagar during working hours starting from July 10, 2024 to July 15, 2024. The JKSSB will not entertain any such representation or objection after the stipulated period or through any other mode.
This is a one-time opportunity for candidates to rectify their mistake and claim the additional marks. Candidates are advised to ensure that they submit their representations within the given timeframe to avoid any disqualification.
