Jammu, 12 June 2024 – The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the results for the Urdu Paper (Descriptive) for the post of Patwari in the Revenue Department. This examination was part of the recruitment process for 142 posts advertised under Advertisement No. 02 of 2021, dated 26 March 2021.
According to Notice No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM/10/2022-04 (7055504), dated 2 January 2024, candidates were informed about the examination schedule, syllabus, and the criteria for assessing their knowledge of Urdu. The notification outlined the qualification requirements: candidates from the “OM” (Open Merit) category needed to score at least 40% overall, with a minimum of 33% in both the Reading and Writing sections. Candidates from other categories were required to score at least 35% overall, with the same minimum percentage in Reading and Writing sections.

The Urdu examination, which is qualifying in nature, was conducted on 31 March 2024. Today, the JKSSB has published the list of candidates who have successfully met the criteria and qualified the Urdu paper. The list is available as Annexure “A” on the official JKSSB website.
Candidates who have objections regarding their results can submit representations for rechecking marks, focusing solely on arithmetic calculations. These representations must be submitted using the prescribed format, available as Annexure “B”, along with a fee of Rs. 500 in the form of a demand draft payable to the Accounts Officer, J&K Services Selection Board. This fee is refundable if the claim is found to be valid.
Objections can be submitted in person at the JKSSB offices located at CPO Chowk, Panjtirthi, Jammu, or Zamzam Building, Rambagh, Srinagar. The submission period is limited to three working days, starting from 13 June 2024, during office hours. No representations will be accepted after this period or through any other means.
