NICL Assistant Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality:
Candidates must be Indian citizens or subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin migrated from select countries.
2. Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years (as of 01.10.2024)

NICL Assistant Selection Process 2024
The selection process will include the following stages:
1. Phase I – Preliminary Examination (Online)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Sections:
- English Language (30 questions, 30 marks)
- Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 35 marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions, 35 marks)
Candidates will have to qualify in each section, and based on performance, selected candidates will advance to the next phase.
2. Phase II – Main Examination (Online)
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Sections:
- Reasoning (40 questions, 40 marks)
- English Language (40 questions, 40 marks)
- Numerical Ability (40 questions, 40 marks)
- General Awareness (40 questions, 40 marks)
- Computer Knowledge (40 questions, 40 marks)
The final selection will be based on the performance in the Main Examination followed by a Regional Language Test, which is qualifying in nature.
3. Regional Language Test:
This test is conducted to ensure candidates have the required proficiency in the regional language of the state/UT they applied for. No separate marks are awarded, but qualification in this test is mandatory.
