  • Date of Birth Block: Candidates born between 3rd July 2004 and 3rd January 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

    • OR Passed a three-year diploma course in engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
    • OR Passed a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects (Physics and Mathematics) with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • Other than Science Subjects: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination in any stream/subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Mandatory medical standards

  • Height: Minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 152.5 cm and for female candidates is 152 cm (with certain relaxations for candidates from specific regions).
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
  • Chest: For male candidates, the minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm with at least 5 cm expansion. For female candidates, the chest should be well proportioned with at least 5 cm expansion.
  • Hearing: Normal hearing ability to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
  • Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
